I began this small piece a couple months back. It's a white chalk pencil drawing on a thick black cartridge paper I bought from John Purcell paper merchants a few years ago now. I love working in the negative as it were, bringing the forms and tones out from the black paper. The image is of the house my grandfather (whom I base much of my personal work on) grew up in, in Kappa, Illinois. Last month now I sent this piece of to Darbyshire's in Stroud to be framed, it should be back with me soon and i'll be sure to post a picture of it when it's unwrapped!
